Punxsutawney Phil, John Mark McMillan, Carlos Whittaker, and Chase Tibbs

Hey everybody. First off, happy belated Groundhog Day.  I hope you took a day off of school in honor of the rodent, or at least ate some German cookies.  I actually called Punxsy home for 12 years of my life and encountered the frenzy that is Groundhog Day every year. Funny memories… it really is crazy the things you’ll see people doing for Punxsy.  One year, for example, our church housed two hitch hikers who came all the way from California to experience Groundhog Day.  The sad thing was, that distance seemed to be the norm… On a different note, my bro Chase was crowned Groundhog King. What’s he do with this title? I have no idea, but it’s epic either way.

Another look into my life would be this upcoming weekend I am driving four and a half hours to see Shane&Shane, John Mark McMillan, and Carlos Whittaker in concert. It will be legit.  The three current worship leaders I look up to most right now would be John Mark, Carlos, and Robbie Seay, so seeing two of those guys in one night should be great. I want to first off, encounter God, and secondly learn and grow so much. I just want to watch how these guys connect with people and engage them with Christ. A lot of people don’t know of John Mark McMillan. He composed ‘How He Loves,’ but he’s done so much more than that. Check this out…
