We’re Making An Album

Guys and gals, thanks for checking out the new studio blog for Tibbs’! I’ve been slaving hard over lines after lines of code, so I thought I’d start out the blog with some perspective from Ryan Ray. We had one of my good good friends Daniel Jewett craft some beautiful art for this new album. Of course you will see it soon enough, I’ll let Tibbs explain everything behind the album and more when that comes. I’ll be starting off the recording process tomorrow with drum tracks. Obviously the most crucial part right? But I wanted to write this to tell you how you can interact with us throughout this process and see what we’re doing all this week in the studio.

First, if you’ll notice right on the homepage we have the page split in two. The left side is all our blog posts from the studio, the right side is a twitter feed. It will pull anything that John Tibbs tweets or anything with the hash tag #origin in it. All of us will be tweeting, posting twitpics and twitvids and more. We just want to be able to share with you some of the music we’re creating. John writes some awesome worship songs, and if you stay up with us on this site you can catch some sneak peaks of all the songs! We’ll also be giving you a song for free from this album, hopefully with other giveaways too soon after!

Besides Twitter we’ll have YouTube updating almost nightly with some video collages from the day in the studio. Those will all be getting their face lift soon too!

Our other links are right above the twitter feed if you want to add us on Myspace, Twitter, YouTube or Facebook while checking out the site.

All in all we just wanted to involve you all somehow in the process of recording our album. You get to see some cool stuff and hear some sneak peaks of new songs, and we all get to hang out. So don’t forget to tweet and check back to see new stuff! Let us know what you think!

I can't tell you how exciting this is for me to follow along!! Not being familiar with the process of what recording an album takes, this is an education. I love all the new stuff and anxiously await more each day.
I met someone at my church that is related to John Tibbs. Small world? I was giving a praise/shout out about all the new stuff happening and someone after church came up to me and said they were related to John, through sisters. His Grandmother or Great Grandmother is a sister of John's Grandmother or Great Grandmother. Like I said, small world!
Keep up the great work, guys! Anxiously awaiting more!
