I moved to Dallas last year, and thought I would definitely want to join a small church. However, I ended up at a Mega-Church (The Village, Pastored by Matt Chandler), and I really like it a lot. They gear a lot of their activities at making small communities, and my fiancee and I have really gotten involved in our Home Group and made some great relationships within this Mega-Church. I would say Different Strokes for Different Folks. Maybe one day I'll transition to a place where I want to be at a smaller church. I certainly don't know what the Lord has in store for me. It is good to gather in large groups for worship and feel the energy as we all come together. But it is equally important to connect in a more intimate place where you can share your heart and where you are missed when you aren't there. I think both are very Biblical models of Christian life.
