My church holds so many stories.
One lady was recently diagnosed with cancer.
One man was arrested for a DUI.
One fiancee left the other.
One guy is picking up the pieces of his family, or at least trying to.
One girl went to church, then to work at the Strip Club.
One friend is overcoming addiction.
The other is trying to.
Humanity is broken and frail. I fear at the notion that I am to create an environment, a moment, a lifestyle of worship, where this brokenness can meet Jesus and be made whole. But this is why we are here.
What is God teaching you that makes you fear?
Carry His name well today.

My prayer today went something like this:
Oh my God…
Just like the waters parted for Moses.
Just like David killed the giant.
Just like the dead boy rose.
Just like the food multiplied.
And just like Jesus rose from the dead.
Would you disrupt my thoughts.
Break my heart.
Challenge my motives.
Murder my pride.
Protect me from sin.
Change my will.
Forgive my disobedience.
Rid me of any agenda that I may have.
God, be near today. Be so near today.
