This Sunday.

Hey everybody, just wanted to give you a heads up for what we’re doing this Sunday at Crossroads Worship. (Most of you know I’m the modern worship leader at Madison Park.)  I’m giving you a heads up so you can know what’s coming your way, and if you’re from out of town, you might like to know what we have going on.  I’ll try to post these types of blogs often.

This weekend we’re sporting: ‘Your Love Never Fails’ (Jesus Culture), ‘Cannons’ (Phil Wickham), ‘I Have Decided to Follow Jesus’ (melt-your-face Traditional), ‘From the Inside Out’ (Hillsong), ‘How He Loves’ (John Mark McMillan), and ‘God of Justice’ (Tim Hughes).

Hope this helps. Hope you guys have a legit day. Thanks for checking this out!

See you sunday – jt.

It’s Empty.

If the gas tank says it’s on empty. It’s empty. I learned this the hard way on Monday. I thought I could get back to campus so I drove past four gas stations. My car died literally 40 feet from the campus… 40 feet. So I sat there for thirty minutes until help came.
What was I thinking? I drove past FOUR gas stations. I thought I could do it, obviously, I was wrong.
Lately, I’ve been trying way to hard to do things by myself. Carry 17 hours at school, oversee 3 separate worship services at Madison Park, booking/band stuff, start an LLC, and the list goes on…
Honestly, in the business sometimes I don’t even run with God. Sometimes I’d rather run by myself. I know, I know… stupid. So I’m grateful for that time I was stranded on the road. I turned down help, and I know where that got me.
I can’t let that happen to my spiritual life.
What gas stations are you driving by today?

God is the God of Second Chances.

Faith Like The Young

This weekend a seventh grade boy poured his heart out to God about the bullying that continues to happen to him at school in regards to his personality.  When they saw that the boy responded, five sixth grade boys rallied around him and prayed for him. They had no idea what was on his heart. Nothing makes you worship more when you are on stage seeing Jr. High kids passionately praying for each other.

When the world wears us down, may we love each other.
